Comets come up big in the clutch (Prep basketball)

The second time was the charm for Crater in a matchup of Midwestern League girls’ basketball heavyweights.

Led by senior guard Taylor Young’s game-high 39 points, fourth-ranked Crater avenged last month’s loss to No. 2-ranked Springfield with a 62-56 victory on Friday night in Central Point, clinching the Comets a share of the MWL title.
