Sept. 8: Crews work to remove a tree that fell across Sixth Street, blocking all southbound traffic into town, at Northeast Hillcrest Drive. A windstorm that swept across most of Oregon west of the Cascades triggered a number of devastating wildfires, but Grants Pass was spared.
