I bought my first car in 1966 at the age of 17. It was a 1957 Ford I bought from a high school friend for $150. Back then, cars were not as complicated as they are now. A teenager with some auto shop could do some work on them. In my circle of teenage friends, we liked to get together and help each other with projects on our first cars. We didn’t have computers or cell phones then, but you could fix your own car.
