Portions of N.W. 4th Street, N.W. Lawnridge Ave., N.W. Manzanita Ave. and N.W. Evelyn Ave were closed Saturday for Porchfest held from noon to 3 p.m. Twenty six musical groups set up shop on 17 lawns and porches entertaining a couple of thousand listeners who took to walking the streets to hear the tunes from brass, strings, bluegrass, folk, blues, Irish and gypsy style music. Organizer Linda Scott said, "The neighbors are the heart of this event. They are so generous."
