I still drive my first car. It was purchased 43 years ago when I was a junior in high school for $400. It’s a 1965 Ford Mustang convertible, Wimbledon white, red interior with a 289 four-speed transmission.
A ground up restoration started in 1984, which included new paint, suspension, brake upgrades, and a 302 block with a complete Edelbrock performer package. Other upgrades included a posi-traction rear end and new convertible top with a glass window. My wife does all the detail work and we have been participating in the Back to the Fifties events for many years.
