TIMOTHY BULLARD/Daily Courier
A small group of Grants Pass High School students gather around the school's flag pole to play guitar, sing and pray for peace and protection as about 300 others circled the campus for 17 minutes, chanting “Enough is enough,” “Books not Guns” and other messages protesting gun violence. A dozen police attended the event, which modeled others around the country at 10 a.m. The 17 minutes represented all the victims at the Parkland, Florida, high school mass shooting one month ago.
