Members of the Grants Pass High football team, Boy Scouts Troop 22 and the Hidden Valley High student body were among the young volunteers placing 1,000 U.S. flags Thursday morning at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Evergreen Federal Bank supplied the flags, which are part of the Salute To Our Heroes Memorial Day display coordinated by Francis and Frances Rowan.
