Santiam Christian holds off Hidden Valley for 3A state football title

ROSEBURG — The Hidden Valley football team had the ball and a chance to tie the Class 3A state championship game in the final minute Saturday against Santiam Christian at Roseburg High School.

The Mustangs drove nearly the length of the field, but a pair of penalties stopped the Mustangs short as the Eagles won 41-34.

Sam Vidlak completed 39 of 55 passes for 479 yards and three touchdowns for Hidden Valley (12-1), while Jeremiah Noga caught 18 passes for 270 yards and a score.

Marcus Fullbright ran for 198 yards and five touchdowns on 28 carries for Santiam Christian (13-0).
